What's new in 4.0.0.1? [21 August 2010]
  • extraction of file size now works with video files too
  • metacafe, redtube, tube8, pornhub video support update. All supported video sites working again.
  • fixed some flickr issues introduced in 4.0.0.0

What's new in 4.0.0.0? [16 August 2010]
  • BID will now continue working after the 30 day trial period but with the following limitations:
    * a maximum of 100 images per batch
    * a maximum of 2 videos per batch
    * no more than 2 instances of BID may be active
    * no more than 2 jobs in the Queue Manager
    * no more than 2 simultaneous downloads
    * reminders to register will appear periodically
  • New option to extract full sized image sizes and URLs (and names if possible), WITHOUT downloading
Press Ctrl+F9, or Shift+Ctrl+F9 (selected only), or hold down the Ctrl, or Ctrl+Shift keys when clicking the download button to have BID locate the actual full sized image locations and file sizes.  Once the actual image URLs have been located they can be copied to the clipboard using the 'Copy file location(s) to clipboard' function' and pasted into other applications. To quickly copy all the URLs press Ctrl+A to select all, then press Ctrl+L to copy to the clipboard.
This can be useful for users wishing to upload images to image hosts that support "REMOTE UPLOADING" (direct downloading from URLs)
  • facebook album update
  • A bug introduced in the previous version would prevent BID from detecting images in many image host sites, such as imagehaven, imageshack and others - this has now been corrected. We apologise for any inconvenience.
